Salman Khan, Bollywood's cherished "Bhaijaan," enjoys immense fame, yet his box office journey reflects occasional challenges and resilience

Salman's latest Eid release, *Sikandar*, opened on March 30 but has faced a tough box office run. By Day 4, collections dropped by 50%, earning just Rs. 9.75 crore—a surprising struggle for an Eid blockbuster

Sikandar (2025)

This action drama was made with a whopping Rs. 125 crore budget but earned Rs. 182.44 crore—a letdown for a Salman Eid release. Fans expected more from such a high-profile project.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023)

Released amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, “Radhe” suffered due to limited theatrical runs. While its budget was Rs. 90 crore, the film collected only Rs. 18.33 crore. Salman reportedly apologized to theaters for the disappointing performance

This romantic drama failed to recover its production costs. With a budget of Rs. 38 crore, it managed a mere  Rs. 14.6 crore, leaving audiences unimpressed

Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna (2009)

A family drama that never quite resonated with viewers. Made on a Rs. 48 crore budget, “Yuvvraaj” earned just Rs. 31.22 crore. Interestingly, the role was rejected by eight other actors before Salman accepted it

Yuvvraaj (2008)

Though its soulful songs remain a favorite, the film itself couldn’t deliver commercially. With a Rs. 21 crore budget, it collected Rs. 23.15 crore—a lukewarm outcome for the superstar.

Kyon Ki (2006)

An ambitious period drama that failed to strike the right chord with audiences. Made on a Rs. 60 crore budget, “Veer” collected around Rs. 58 crore, barely recovering costs.

Veer (2010)

In a candid interview, Salman reflected on these challenges, saying, “Bollywood thinks I don’t need their support in films, but everyone needs support.”
