In exciting news, Bollywood patrons are set to receive their newest addition in the form of Ahan Shetty, son of the veteran Suniel Shetty, as he has confirmed the casting in the long-abated film, “Border 2”. For its part, this sequel of the 1997 war drama “Border” guarantees a visual wonder with its great pool of ensemble actors including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh. Such a piece of news was confirmed on Thursday with Ahan posting a heartfelt note and a character teaser on his Instagram.
Ahan Shetty's Deep Connection to "Border" Legacy

Media briefing is by 28-year-old Ahan Shetty who mentioned that he was very attached to the “Border” franchise. He shared how his journey with the movie had begun even before his birth as his mother went to the shooting location when she was pregnant with him. Part of his growing experience involved legendary stories of OP Dutta, the original writer and director; and guidance from JP Dutta, who remains a mentor to him.
Border is much more than a film; it’s a legacy, an emotion, and a dream come true,” Ahan wrote. “Ironic how life works–my journey with “Border” started 29 years ago, when mom visited dad on set while pregnant with me. I grew up hearing OP Dutta’s legendary stories, holding JP uncle’s hand, and sitting by @nidhiduttaofficial side. I never realized how much those moments would shape my love for cinema and the Indian Armed Forces. Now, being part of “Border 2” is an absolute honor.”
Strength Beyond Boundaries: A Soldier's Promise
The character teaser of Ahan comes with the backdrop of war being extremely intense but a gripping soundtrack too. The teaser has powerful words: “For Duty, For Honour, For Country,” but then comes Ahan’s impactful voiceover:
“Jise paar nahi kar paata dushman, who na toh koi lakeer hai, naa deewaar naa ghaai, aur kya hai ye border. Bas ek fauji aur uske bhai.”
(That which the enemy cannot traverse is not a line, nor a wall, nor a trench. So, what is this frontier? It is only a soldier and his brother).
Ahan's Heartfelt Tribute to His Father, Suniel Shetty
Ahan thanked the director of the film JP Dutta and producer Bhushan Kumar for being a part of such a big movie. He further dedicated heart-felt tribute to his father, Suniel Shetty by saying that he has built a legacy that he proudly stands on.
And to you, Papa—everything I am is because of you, and I’ll do my best to honor the legacy you’ve worked so hard to create, Ahan signed off.
