Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is generating significant buzz among fans, especially with the intriguing details shared by Sunny Kaushal about his character, Abhimanyu. Sunny Kaushal’s Character: Abhimanyu

The film, Sunny Kaushal’s new addition to the franchise, told fans that Abhimanyu was a loner who got caught between the stormy of Rishu and Rani. Abhimanyu does not even have an inkling of the dark past that chases Rishu and Rani. He lives in his world, with no family, and has given up on life until he meets Rani. This brings about the realization of his purpose in loving her madly. Abhimanyu, for Kaushal, is somebody who in the first place has nothing to do with Rani and Rishu. He lives in his own small world, has no family, and is loved by Rani.

He is an extroverted loner who has sort of given up on life until he meets Rani. That’s when he begins to understand the whys of his being on the face of this earth-for someone like this. And that’s how he gets all tangled up in their story.

Intricate Dynamics Between Characters

Kaushal also pointed out subtle dynamics between the three main characters-Rishu, Rani, and Abhimanyu. He said they were both selfish and selfless, which added up to a great complex quotient in terms of their interactions with each other. “Nobody has an idea what these characters will do with themselves, with each other and with the world around them. and that’s what’s interesting about this sequel,” he said. Unpredictability is its distinctive feature, which sets apart  “Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba” from other Bollywood love triangles. Kaushal told that everything is justified in the characters’ minds, but the acts are very unpredictable, and in territories, some are done where no sensible or sane person would ever visit.

Sunny Kaushal's Impressive Performances

Sunny Kaushal’s performances in “Mili”, “Gold”, “Bhangra Paa Le”, and  “Shiddat” have been excellent. The role that he portrays in  “Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba” will be another to add to his good work.

Rishu by Vikrant Massey

Vikrant Massey, who plays Rishabh ‘Rishu’ Saxena, recently spoke about the dramatic shift his character undergoes in the sequel. A perfect son, loving to his wife, Rishu brought the sunshine in anyone’s life—a green flag that one needs to be within “Haseen Dillruba”. But the character takes an about-turn also in the second half when he takes extreme steps to save his love. It feels like it’s in the sequel that Rishu has kicked it to the next level in “Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba”. Massey agrees and tells us, “There is actually a massive suspension and huge shift from what Rishu was in the first part. He is just responding to the situations he has put himself in. He is taking a flight from where he left, and how he became in the second half of the first film. But the core of it remains the same. He is madly in love with his wife Rani. The truth remains that he can do anything for her.”

Trailer and the Impact

A lot has been buzzing around about the trailer of “Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba”, directed by Jayprad Desai and written by Kanika Dhillon. This movie is said to further delve into the lives of its star-crossed lovers—Rani and Rishu. The newly released trailer shows how Rani and Rishu try to run away from a troubled past, only to find themselves in the midst of another harbinger of challenges. Just when they feel like having peaceful lives, a series of newcomers appears, including the enigmatic Abhimanyu played by Sunny Kaushal, to throw a spanner in the works. Officer Mritunjay or Montu Chacha— the new ace cop with a personal vendetta—viewed against the backdrop by Jimmy Shergill, who becomes hell-bent on exposure of their web of lies, adds fuel to the fire. The police force is after them again, and back go the couple to their old, twisted ways of being together. But the question that remains is: whom can one trust if danger is lurking in every corner? The mystery lingers and the question remains: just how far is one willing to go for this mysterious four-letter word?

Taapsee Pannu on Reprising Her Role

Taapsee Panny

Taapsee Pannu says, “Reuniting with Rani feels like coming home, and I’m elated to slip into her skin once again. The kind of love and acceptance I got for this film is just too much to process.”. After having penned another splendid arc for Rani, stronger, more passionate, and more complex than ever, this time, finally, the audience is going to meet yet another fiercer, more passionate, and even more complex Rani. Director Jayprad Desai does complete justice in bringing out these complexities on screen. She is a woman who hangs at nothing for love, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience the journey she goes through.

Vikrant Massey on Rishu's Depth

If you thought you knew Rishu, prepare to be surprised. The sequel delves deeper into his psyche, exploring his vulnerabilities and strengths in ways we haven’t seen. The story takes unexpected turns, and I’m confident audiences will be captivated by the wild ride that awaits them.”

Sunny Kaushal on Being a Part of the Cast
